We are pleased to announce the NIFS @ Cannes schedule for May 13th during the 79th Cannes International Film Festival. Please find the details of our upcoming events and partnerships below.

Our programming begins with the Marche du Film Conferences - The Focus on Africa Conference, hosted in partnership with TransPerfect Media France and Nile Media Group as part of the official program of Marché du Film.


Under the Creative Africa Content Pavilion’s African Animation Investors Pitch at the Marché du Film, AnimaxFYB Studios; West Africa’s premier animation studio and Ghana’s first full-time animation hub unveils ORAYA, a bold futuristic animated feature where a disgraced tech genius must unite chosen outcasts to restore balance between technology and spirit. Backed by Annecy recognition, AMAA wins, and Amazon Prime Video distribution. The studio invites investors, sales agents, and global partners to shape the next defining African franchise.


As part of CACOP's Best of Africa Pitch and Best of Africa Films Showcase in Cannes for completed African film projects, there will  be a presentation of two completed feature projects namely:

● The Herd, an intriguing political drama with a recently announced whopping nine nominations at Africa's Oscars- the AMVCAs directed and produced by  Daniel Etim-Effiong in partnership with Filmone Entertainment Studios, Airscape and Serendipity HHC.

● The feature film 'To Adaego With Love' was written and produced by Brenda Ogbukaa- Garuba for Tade Production House, with Trino Studios as the global sales agent. The film won the awards for Best Feature Film and Best Screenplay at the Africa International Film Festival 2025 including five other prestigious nominations.

● CACOP will present the Best of African Films Showcase, in partnership with Afrofilms UK, to highlight emerging talents from Africa and create a platform for African talents to be discovered by potential international partners, sales agents, film distributors, financiers, and investors and buyers.

We also invite you to the African Film Professionals and Industry Networking Lunch. The theme for this session is "Jollof Wars: The Best of African Jollof," organized in partnership with TransPerfect and Pan Afrique Investissement Consultants France and The African Pavilion.

To conclude the day’s activities, we will host a Trailer Unveil Party for the Film 'The Jaru Road', a film by Kenneth Gyang, produced by Cinema Kpatakpata in association with Arewa 24 Television.
